Body Contouring – The Body for You

Body ContouringWinning the Battle, and the War

Health, beauty and fitness are the mainstream in society today. Men and women alike have made the  commitment to lose weight, exercise and maintain a healthier lifestyle. Once the battle of losing weight is won, many are finding yet another issue to overcome: excess skin. When a person loses a large amount of weight, the
skin does not bounce back and they are left with excess skin in various parts of their body. Dr. Orloff has the solution with the latest advancements and techniques in body contouring to truly transform your body into the body you want.

What is body contouring?

Body contouring is shaping the body to remove excess skin and fat, and giving a lift to those areas needing one. Liposuction in conjunction with contouring procedures may be recommended, depending on the patient’s individual situation.

What areas can be contoured and how is it done?

Body contouring can be performed on virtually every area of the body: the arms, thighs, butt, breasts, tummy, etc. where excess skin and fat are present.

Tummy Tuck: Known as an abdominoplasty, this procedure flattens the tummy by removing extra fat and skin, and tightening muscles in the abdominal wall. This is a very popular procedure for women after childbirth, and with both men and women after losing weight.

Body Contouring - CoupleThigh Lift and Butt Lift: These procedures remove excess skin and tissue left after weight loss or caused simply from the force of gravity and time. Once the excess skin is removed, the thighs and rear-end are contoured and lifted forming a more youthful and healthy appearance.

Arms: Brachioplasty is the reshaping  of arms. It involves removal of excess or sagging skin and may also include liposuction. Often times, people feel uncomfortable about wearing sleeveless clothing or are forced to wear larger sizes because of size and shape of their arms. Contouring the upper arms remedies these concerns.

Breast Reduction/Breast Lift: Many factors, such as pregnancy, weight change, aging and gravity cause the skin to stretch. The breasts then loose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. Breast reduction is the removal of excess tissue. A breast lift, or mastopexy, raises and reshapes sagging breasts to regain a more youthful and healthy appearance.
